Welcome.

Hyren: an island located to the south-west of the Kanto Region. A thousand years ago, a woman named Tyra Dove attempted to colonize is with the help of trainers from the other regions and failed to do so. The Pokerus virus that was so common in Johto managed to kill any and all native species to the island because they had no immunity to it. Still, the island soon became the Republic of Hyren.

Fast forward to the present.

The island is split by borders into eleven distinct regions, each with their own climates and individually affected by disaster after disaster with most normal people in the Plateau paying little mind to it. Pokemon and training is a taboo of sorts with no one wanting to be reminded of history's mistakes. Yet, there are still Gyms out there somewhere in the wilderness waiting for a brave Trainer to challenge it. There are also Challenges that need to be conquered along with Pokemon to be taken care of by Breeders. Ribbons also still need to be won by Coordinators, whoever they may be.

Will you do it?

Will you defeat the reckless leaders of the eight gyms? Or will you choose to revel in glory after returning alive from a challenge? Or even more so, will you find your perfect Pokemon partner and dazzle the masses?

Maxel limped into the Apartment Office. His right leg was still healing from being inundated in fire.

"I'd like to rent an apartment, please." He winced as he asked it. His family's pride and joy- their house- had just been demolished. Thus the need for temporary living quarters while it was being repaired.

The receptionist silently handed him a form to fill out. Maxel silently took it.

Kristy's parents hadn't acted particularly supportive of her desire to be a handler, although at least they hadn't actively stopped her. She, however, had decided that the best thing for now would be to get her own apartment. Probably all by herself, too. Maybe she would get a roommate, if someone particularly appealed to her. Someone quiet, who wouldn't bother her too much.
